Per notice 2024-22:
"The Nevada Gaming Control Board's enforcement Division announces the following changes, which take effect immediately. The changes relate to the registration of armed security personnel as detailed in Nevada Gaming Commission Regulation 5.102.
Due to recent changes by the Nevada Department of Public Safety, a registered gaming employee must now meet one of the following criteria to be approved for an armed security person:

Hold a current concealed weapon permit issued by a political subdivision of the State of Nevada

Hold a current armed work credential issued by a political subdivision of the State of Nevada;

Be presently employed as an active duty law enforcement officer in the State of Nevada;

Be a retired law enforcement officer who holds a current Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act Card

Be presently registered as a gaming employee in an armed security personnel position with another licensee
-
Submit a renewal of registration as a gaming employee in an armed security personnel position"
